Music Sources
There are many wireless music system source options available to you for your listening pleasure. Music sources are how or what media you use to listen to your music.
You can listen to your CD's, Records or Vinyl (for some of us dinosaurs), MP3's, a music service or one of my favorites, Internet radio.
The digital music source I use in my home is called Pandora and it is free. You can set up an account at Pandora.com and listen to any artist you like through your computer sound system. I listen to Pandora through a wireless music system called SONOS that is hooked up to my whole house audio music system. It is versatile and I can type any artist name that I enjoy into the SONOS Controller and Pandora will play that artist or anyone that sounds similar to that artist until I tell it to stop.
Internet Radio also plays through the SONOS wireless music system. I can dial up NPR, any local music, sports or talk radio station or if I'm so inclined, I can find a radio station anywhere in the world. We had one customer who called us just to say that there was actually a radio station in Antarctica!
Your iPod or MP3 Player is a great music source. You can listen to it via headphones or you can easily hook it up to your stereo system and listen to it through your home speakers. The biggest issue with using your iPod or MP3 player is being able to control it (skip songs, access your play-list) and occasionally, it is taken from the house to be used elsewhere by a member of your household and you are out of luck.
If you have an iPod or MP3 Player your music must be on a computer somewhere in your home. These SONOS digital music systems can seamlessly pull your music from your computer and you will have all of your artists and play-lists available to you from the SONOS Controller.
There are many music sources available to you in this day and age. How you listen to those sources is a big decision for any household and If you are looking for one source that can provide you with many options, I would suggest the SONOS Wireless Home Music System.
